All about me...
I am the school counselor at Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary. I have 23 years experience in education. I have taught Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten, Third and Fourth grade. I especially love counseling because I get to work with all the children at VFL on a daily basis. One minute I can be in a Kindergarten class and the next a fifth grade; everyday is different. I have a BS degree in Elementary Education and an MS in Counseling from East Carolina University. GO PIRATES!!
I feel it is important for us to educate the whole child: personally, socially as well as academically so they will grow to become healthy well-rounded adults.
I live in Washington with my husband Travis and my 15 year old son Lane. I also have a 21 year old daughter Brittany who is a student at UNC-Asheville. I love to kayak, camp and hike. My goal is to someday hike the entire North Carolina section of the Appalachian Trail.
